Background: The present study aimed to investigate the relationship between moral responsibility, mental alertness and academic flexibility and academic participation: the mediating role of academic life quality. Method: The research method was descriptive correlational. The statistical population of the study consisted of all students in the fifth-grade physics curriculum of schools in Wasit province, Al-Azizia district, 1600 people. 310 people were selected as samples using cluster random sampling method. Standard questionnaires were used to collect information. Structural equation modeling was used to analyze the data with the help of SPSS and AMOS23 software. Results: The results of the study showed that the predictor variables (moral responsibility, mental alertness, and academic flexibility) have an effect on the mediating variable (quality of academic life). The predictor variables also have an effect on the criterion variable (academic participation). In addition, the results of the study showed that the mediating variable plays a significant and positive role in the relationship between the predictor variables and the criterion variable. Conclusion: Students who are taught the value of moral responsibility are likely to develop empathy, respect for others, and a commitment to contributing to society. This not only improves their interpersonal relationships in the classroom, but also prepares them for future challenges as responsible citizens. By emphasizing moral responsibility, educators can significantly enhance the quality of their students' academic lives and foster not only academic excellence but also character development that benefits society as a whole.
