Analyzing the Relationship between Family Social Capital and Social Adjustment, Moral Behavior and Academic Success: The Mediating Role of Psychological Security

Background: The present study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the relationship between family social capital and social adaptation, moral behavior and academic success, which investigated the mediating role of mental security in students of the first stage of applied arts preparatory schools, family education department in Baghdad province.
Method: The present study was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlation in terms of method. The statistical population of students of applied arts preparatory schools, Baghdad Province Education Organization was 1200 people. According to the size of the statistical population, a sample of 291 people was selected using the cluster sampling method. A standard questionnaire was used to collect field data. In the inferential statistics section, structural equation analysis method was used with the help of SmartPls.
Results: The research results showed that family social capital as a key resource is directly and indirectly related to academic success and social adaptation of students. And the moral behaviors that are influenced by the social capital of the family have a significant positive effect on the academic success and social adjustment of students.
Conclusion: The family, as the main foundation of the local society, is where people experience and accept the first social roles after birth, so a person's family plays the main role in the social adaptation and behavior and emotions of the person throughout his life. Undoubtedly, in order to achieve this important goal, the family must create psychological security in the child so that he can achieve the necessary success by understanding moral and social values ​​and as a result having moral behavior in social and academic life.
