Background: One of the worrisome issues in work environments is the existence of gender discrimination in such environments. Considering this importance, the purpose of this research is to identify the lived experience of working women in relation to ethics in the workplace and to preserve their human dignity. Method: The phenomenological research method is a qualitative research method. The statistical population of the research included women working informally in Tehran Municipality, who were 208 people according to the statistics of the Deputy of Human Resources of Tehran Municipality. A sample size of 25 was taken from this population, which was based on theoretical saturation. The data collection tool was an unstructured (completely informal) interview. The analysis was done through open coding, axial coding and identification of categories and concepts. Results: After checking the reliability and validity of the interviews, which indicated the appropriate validity and reliability, 2 main categories and 5 central codes were identified from among the 11 open codes obtained through coding. Conclusion: The results show that working women are increasingly facing violations of human dignity and verbal sexual violence in the workplace. Job insecurity and weak protective laws are the basis of these injuries. The temporary and unstable conditions of employment have put these women in a vulnerable position where they face threats and disrespect for their human dignity. Also, experiencing all kinds of verbal violence from colleagues and managers is part of the daily reality of these women
