Analyzing the Relationship Between Quality of Academic Life and Educational Ethics with Academic Achievement: The Mediating Role of Academic Enthusiasm

Background: Academic achievement as a key indicator of the success of educational systems can be improved under the influence of academic life quality, educational ethics and academic enthusiasm. Understanding this, the present study was conducted with the aim of analyzing the relationships between academic life quality and educational ethics with academic achievement with the mediating role of academic enthusiasm.
Method: The research method was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive correlation in terms of data collection. The statistical population consisted of 339 high school students in Divaniyeh city, 208 of whom were selected using the Morgan table using cluster random sampling method. To collect research data, four standard questionnaires of academic life quality, educational ethics, academic enthusiasm and academic achievement were used. The validity of the questionnaire was approved by professors and experts, and the reliability of the instrument was confirmed using Cronbach's alpha coefficient in a preliminary study. Data analysis was performed using Pearson correlation coefficient analysis and path analysis in SPSS 22 and LISREL 8.80 statistical software.
Results: The results showed that there is a positive and significant relationship between the quality of academic life, educational ethics, and academic enthusiasm with academic progress. The results also showed that the mediating role of academic enthusiasm in the relationship between the quality of academic life, educational ethics, and academic progress was positive and significant.
Conclusion: Based on the results, academic progress, as one of the most important and objective criteria for examining and evaluating the efficiency of educational systems, grows under the influence of the quality of academic life and educational ethics with the mediation of academic enthusiasm.
