The Relationship between Professional Ethics and Professional Competence of Professors with Organizational Accountability: Analysis of the Mediating Role of Job Passion

Background: Organizational accountability is important to remain competitive in today's world. The purpose of this research was to analyze the mediating role of job passion in the relationship between professional ethics and professional competence of professors with organizational accountability among faculty members of Payam Noor University in West Azerbaijan province.
Method: The current research is applied and among descriptive-correlation researches. The statistical population of this research included the academic faculty members of Payam Noor University of West Azarbaijan province, from among them a sample of 150 people was selected in a simple random manner, and finally only the results of 129 people were analyzed. Standard questionnaires were used to measure research variables. Structural equation modeling and partial least squares approach and Smart PLS version 3 software were used for data analysis in the inferential statistics section.
Results: The results showed; Professional ethics have a positive and significant effect on job enthusiasm, professional ethics on organizational accountability, professional competence on job enthusiasm, professional competence on organizational accountability, and job enthusiasm on organizational accountability.
Conclusion: Organizational accountability, which is somehow responsible for keeping managers and executive employees in an organization, is affected by the ethics and professional competence of employees and managers, and the results of this research show that in this connection, job passion can play a mediating role.
