Background: Entrepreneurship plays an important role in the development of any country. Entrepreneurship is seen as the driving force behind economic development and the identification of opportunities and the use of resources, and entrepreneurs are those who, by recognizing opportunities, ensure success in manufacturing, business, and services. However, it should be noted that the criterion for performing any activity in an acceptable manner is to observe the set of ethical principles. Therefore, the present study was conducted with the aim of comparative study of the level of attention to business ethics among Iranian and UAE entrepreneurs.
Method: The present study was descriptive / causal-comparative. The statistical population of the study was Iranian entrepreneurs in Iran and the UAE. Of these, 75 were selected by sampling. The research tool was a researcher-made questionnaire. The data were analyzed by descriptive and inferential statistical methods (one-way analysis of variance and Shafa test).
Results: Data analysis showed that the level of attention to business ethics among Iranian entrepreneurs in the UAE is significantly higher than entrepreneurs living in Iran. However, comparing the level of business ethics among entrepreneurs living in the city with Tehran did not show a significant difference.
Conclusion: Undoubtedly, the prevailing political, economic and social structures, the banking system, the education system, the family and culture, the executive guarantee of laws and a competitive market are effective in influencing entrepreneurs' attention to business ethics.
