Analysis of The Relationship Between Moral Intelligence and Social Adaptation, Academic Resilience and Academic Self-Efficacy: The Mediating Role of Academic Ethics

Background: The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the mediating role of academic ethics in the relationship of moral intelligence with social adaptation and academic resilience and academic self-efficacy of secondary school students in Salah al-Din, Iraq.
Method: The present research method was descriptive-correlation. The statistical population consisted of all secondary school students of Salah al-Din city, Iraq, numbering 5000 people, of which 381 people were selected as a sample using cluster random sampling method. A standard questionnaire was used to collect research data. To check the hypotheses, correlation test and structural equations were used using smart pls software.
Results: The results showed a relationship between moral intelligence and academic ethics (r=0.485), social adaptation (β=0.202), resilience (r=0.374), academic self-efficacy (r=0.137). There was a significant Academic ethics had a significant relationship with students' social adjustment (β = 0.183), academic resilience (r = 0.441), academic self-efficacy (β = 0.372). Based on the results, it was determined that there is a relationship between moral intelligence and social adaptation with the mediating role of academic ethics (r = 0.089), between moral intelligence and resilience with the mediating role of academic ethics (r = 0.235) and between moral intelligence and academic self-efficacy with The mediating role of academic ethics (r = 0.180) had a significant relationship.
Conclusion: Moral intelligence refers to knowing strong moral beliefs and also acting on them. Students who have strengthened this intelligence within themselves actually have the capacity and ability to understand moral issues, which can play an effective role in their personal and academic performance and more effective adaptation
