Evaluating the Moral Competence Model of Managers in the Field of Health

Background: Ethical competence is the main core between competence and ethical behavior and is very important in management ranks. Therefore, the purpose of this research was to design a model of ethical competence of managers in the field of health.
Method: This research, using the development-applied approach, followed survey strategies and used the descriptive-correlation method to evaluate the model. The statistical population was all the staff (including managerial and supervisory levels, experts and assistant experts) of the health field (Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences). In order to determine the sample, 220 people were selected by simple random sampling method. The questionnaire tool was made by the researcher and the validation of the model was done with structural equation method and Lisrel software.
Results: The results of goodness of fit indices in the conceptual model of the research showed that the introduced model has a good fit.
Conclusion: The introduced model is the first model of Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and due to the comprehensiveness of its factors, it has a high generalizability for other similar regulatory organizations. |
