Presenting a Model for Improving the Moral Intelligence of Employees

Background: Moral intelligence refers to the ability to apply moral principles in personal goals, values and actions, which can also affect the performance of organizations. This study was conducted with the aim of providing a model for improving the moral intelligence of employees in the Transport and Traffic Organization of Tehran Municipality.
Method: The present study was among mixed studies. In the qualitative part, the target population includes academic and professional experts who were in the transportation and traffic organization of Tehran municipality, 20 of them were identified as a sample using the targeted snowball method, and an in-depth, semi-structured interview was conducted with them. The obtained data were analyzed by Delphi method. In the quantitative section, the population was the headquarters staff of Tehran Municipality Traffic and Transportation Organization, 60 of whom were selected by available sampling method. The researcher's questionnaire tool was made by the qualitative department. Finally, the ranking of the components was done by TOPSIS method.
Results: Based on the results of Delphi, 11 dimensions and 54 components were identified as components for improving employees' moral intelligence. Also, according to the results obtained from the TOPSIS method, the sub-components of listening to employees' words with a weight of 0.917, planning to increase spirituality in the organization with a weight of 0.872, and help from behavioral science consultants with a weight of 0.848 are the highest priorities. have among other components.
Conclusion: moral intelligence increases the commitment and responsibility of employees and leads to the improvement of individual and group efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary for managers to take steps to improve the moral intelligence of employees.
