Background: Among human groups, there are always people whose level of vulnerability is higher. Children and adolescents are among these groups. Due to their special physical and psychological status or situation, this group of people is more vulnerable than other human beings to abnormal behavior and violence. For this reason, various and special supports and assistance from various institutions and institutions to this group of human groups in the form of a differentiated support approach is very reasonable and desirable. The present study examines the ethical dimensions of legal protection of children against violence and compares the laws in Iranian and Iraqi law.
Conclusion: The most important step in protecting children against violence is to pay attention to ethical principles and correctly recognize the rights that protect children from experiencing instances of violent behavior and place them under the serious protection of society. The Iranian legislator has protected the rights of children against any possible violations in scattered laws and regulations and has guaranteed the rights of children against any instances of violence. In Iraqi laws, which in turn consider the protection of children, whether civil or criminal, the protection of children against violence is stipulated, but it is not enough because this child needs more protection from the government. The Iraqi government has established guarantees, including the protection of children and the prevention of crimes and assaults on them, but these laws still do not seem sufficient. |
