Relationship between Spiritual Intelligence and Psychological Well-Being among Students: Mediating Role of Professional Ethics

Background: Improving "psychological well-being" and "professional ethics" among university students has always been of interest to researchers and university officials. The aim of the present study is to investigate the relationship between spiritual intelligence and psychological Well-Being with the Mediating Role of Professional Ethics among Students.
Method: The present study is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational in nature. The statistical population of the study includes all mathematics students in Shahid Rajaee and Allameh Tabatabaee departments of Urmia University of Education, totaling 170, number 115 were selected as statistical samples by using the Morgan table through stratified random sampling method. The data collection method is fieldwork and the tools used are standard questionnaires on spiritual intelligence, professional ethics, and psychological well-being. The data analysis method is partial least squares structural equation modeling (SEM) using Smart PLS.
Results: Analysis of the collected data showed that spiritual intelligence is related to professional ethics by 0/81 and to students' psychological well-being by 0/40. Professional ethics is also related to psychological well-being by 0/49. Spiritual intelligence also has a significant relationship with students' psychological well-being by 0/48 through the mediating role of professional ethics.
Conclusion: According to the statistical results, all research hypotheses were confirmed and the general conclusion of the research was that professional ethics has a mediating role between the relationship between spiritual intelligence and students' psychological well-being.
