Background: Transitional justice is an approach to the systematic or widespread violation of human rights, which on the one hand compensates the victims caused by the oppression of the past ruling system, and on the other hand provides opportunities to change political systems, reduce and eliminate violence and other conditions. which may have been the root of these disturbances, will create or increase them. The researchers in the present study seek to explain the processes of implementing transitional justice to protect the human and moral dignity of nations and seek to find an answer to the question that the International Criminal Court What role has he played in this field? Conclusion: The transitional justice approach to protect the human and moral dignity of citizens in the transition period has two main goals: the first step is to obtain a level of justice for the victims and the second step is to strengthen the possibilities for peace, democracy and reconciliation. To achieve these two goals, transitional justice measures are often combined and embedded in the form of criminal and restorative justice elements. With the establishment of the International Criminal Court, in addition to its main task of prosecuting and punishing criminals, this court also seeks restorative justice in the matter of transitional justice in order to stabilize and consolidate peace and stability after the transition from the offending government, which is a structured framework for the truth.
