Explain the Characteristics and Dimensions of Service Motivation with an Ethics-Oriented Approach at Work

Background: Organizations undoubtedly need to increase spirituality in the workplace to achieve their goals. The present study seeks to provide features through which organizations can promote service in the workplace with a spiritual approach.
Method: This research is of interpretive type and its qualitative approach and its strategy is the foundation data approach based on the emerging Glaser approach. The study population was the operational managers of Khorasan Razavi Telecommunication Company. Through theoretical sampling, 19 managers were selected as a sample. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews and finally analyzed using data coding method.
Results: The results of interview analysis and coding in two stages of real and theoretical coding showed that the dimensions of service motivation with a spiritual approach to work include normative, emotional, semantic, social, compassionate and self-sacrificing. Among the characteristics that shape the motivation to serve with a spirituality approach at work include job characteristics, knowledge characteristics, social capital and personality traits. Correlated factors also include: social participation in the organization and consolidation of social capital that the managers of the organization should pay attention to these characteristics.
Conclusion: Considering the dimensions of service motivation with spirituality at work approach in this study, service motivation with spirituality at work approach has characteristics that encourage telecom company managers to develop service motivation with spirituality at work approach to these factors. |
