Evaluating the Dimensions and Contexts of Ethical-social Banking

Background: Ethical banking movement includes: ethical investment, impact investment, socially responsible investment and is related to movements such as fair trade, ethical consumerism and social business. The purpose of the present study is to evaluate and prioritize the dimensions and fields of ethical-social banking.
Method: The present study was applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of data collection. The research population included the staff of Maskan Bank in Ahvaz city, 213 people were selected as a sample using simple random sampling. The questionnaire tool was made by the researcher. Finally, by using structural equation modeling method in PLS, the extracted model was verified and validated.
Results: Based on the obtained results, the conceptual model of the research, which included 8 dimensions and 22 fields, was evaluated, and the research findings showed that the model had the necessary validity.
Conclusion: Ethical banking is a new window for those involved and activists in the banking field, which can have personal, social, organizational, human, cultural, national and even international consequences. In order to be able to move towards such a structure, Maskan Bank branches must understand the drivers and drivers of ethical-social banking well. These drivers include cultural issues (beliefs, values and culture of sustainability), value orientation (human, spiritual and social benefit) and infrastructure (economic, legal, social and cultural infrastructures). |
