Developing a Measurement Model for Organizational Virtue as a Moral Component

Background: One the most important aspects of ethics in organization is organizational virtuousness. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to developing a measurement model for organizational virtuousness as a moral component in employees of the Ministry of Sport and Youth.
Method: The study is an applied research and in terms of data gathering is descriptive-correlation. Statistical population includes 890 employees of the Ministry of Sport and Youth of Islamic Republic of Iran, which 397 people as statistical sample were selected by random sampling method. The research instrument were organizational virtuousness questionnaire. To analyze the data, the method of modeling structural equations with SPSS24. 8.5 LISREL software was used that first, the parameters of the model were estimated through maximum likelihood then organizational virtuousness measurement model was tested by goodness of fit indices.
Results: The results showed that the data were suitable for factor analysis (KMO=0.96, Bartlett=4740.249, sig =0.01). Also, the results showed that the measurement model has goodness of fit and goodness of fit indices (x2/df=2.59, RMSEA=0.063, PNFI=0.80, NNFI=0.99, NFI=.99, CFI=.99, IFI=.99) were confirmed. Regarding the relationship of components with the concept of organizational virtuousness, the results showed that all components could be a good predictor for concept of organizational virtuousness.
Conclusion: According to the results of this research, it can be concluded that researchers can measure organizational virtuousness in sports organizations use from organizational virtuousness questionnaire 15 items available in this research, which has the suitable validity and reliability.
