The Mediating Role of Psychosocial Factors in the Relationship between Professional Ethics & Managers' Decisions

Background: In the present era, observing ethical principles as one of the effective factors in reducing psychosocial factors and improving the decision-making system of managers in the organization is of particular importance. The aim of the present study is to mediate the role of psychosocial factors in the relationship between professional ethics and decisions of education directors in Shiraz District 4.
Method: The research method is descriptive-correlation. The study population consisted of managers and executive staff of education in the 4th district of Shiraz, which was selected using stratified sampling method, 200 of them. To collect data, Kadozir Professional Ethics Questionnaire, Lindostrom psychosocial factors and Kasol ethical decision questionnaire were used. In order to analyze the data, Kolmogorov-Smirnov tests, one-group t-test, Pearson torque correlation coefficient, and structural equation modeling were used.
Results: Findings showed that the three main variables of research (professional ethics, psychosocial factors, decision making) have a positive and significant relationship (p <0.01).
Conclusion: Moral values, in addition to reducing and improving psychosocial factors in an organization, play an important role in increasing the power and decision making power of managers.
