Relationship between Professional Ethics and Organizational Commitment

Background: In recent years, professional ethics has effect on the activity, individual and group performance and organizational results. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between professional ethics and organizational commitment.
Methods: The research method is applied in terms of purpose and descriptive-correlational research. The statistical population includes 50 employees of Shahroud industrial town who due to the limited number of the population, the entire statistical population was selected as the final sample of the study. The data collection tool is a questionnaire and the method of data analysis is Pearson correlation test.
Results: The seven components of the professional ethics of honesty, fairness, loyalty, employee excellence and competitiveness, respect for others, compassion for others and respect for social values and norms are associated with organizational commitment. While accountability component has no significant relationship with organizational commitment.
Conclusions: From the present study, it can be inferred that with the increase of professional ethics components, the commitment of employees in the organization increases. |
