Mediating Role of Emotional Commitment in the Relationship between Work Ethics & Happiness

Background: The study of factors affecting happiness can play an effective role in advancing the goals of the higher education system.
Method: The research method is descriptive-correlation. The statistical population includes all employees of University of Bu Ali Sina. 208 employees were selected using stratified random sampling method for the study. Three standard questionnaires of work ethic, happiness and emotional commitment were used to collect research data. Data were collected and analyzed using Pearson correlation coefficient and path analysis in LISREL and SPSS statistical software.
Results: The results showed that the mediating role of emotional commitment in the relationship between work ethic and happiness is positive and significant.
Conclusion: As a result, to create happiness among employees, we must pay attention to the dimensions of work ethic and emotional commitment.
